Established in July 2000, Magellan Federal Member Services are committed to providing unique support to active duty, retired service members, and survivors. Our services to these individuals are unparalleled in both the government and private sectors, which has earned us an excellent reputation for our attentiveness to provide personalized answers to specific benefits and entitlement questions. Not found in any other single organization, our services are the cornerstone to each member’s survivor sustainment and personal affairs planning.
Member Services Team
Magellan Federal members have access to a team of qualified professionals, dedicated to providing them personalized assistance. Our goal is to help service members, veterans, and their families understand and manage their military benefits so that they receive the support to which they are entitled. When a Magellan Federal member dies, survivors receive immediate support. As knowledgeable authorities on the latest developments in all government benefits, we stand by our members’ dependents for life, to ensure no benefits are overlooked.
Magellan Federal members
receive the following services:
As a Magellan Federal member, you will receive an annual printout summarizing the complete government survivor benefits your family would receive in the event of your death. Calculations are made using our proprietary database, and are updated constantly to reflect legislative and policy changes that may affect your benefits. The FIR also includes personal and military data, commercial life insurance policies and values. The comprehensive FIR printout will become a valuable family financial document.
When a Magellan Federal member or a survivor needs to file a claim for benefits, they will have the support of experienced Magellan Federal employees to help navigate the somewhat challenging maze of government bureaucracy. Living Magellan Federal members can be assisted with Veterans Affairs and with their disability claims. Upon notification of a member’s death, government and life insurance claims are initiated immediately and appropriate forms are sent to dependents for prompt receipt of benefits. Magellan Federal continuously follows up to ensure that full benefits are paid in a timely manner, and stands ready to represent members’ needs when there is a benefit claims dispute. Our experienced professionals can significantly reduce the frustration of filing claims during an already difficult time.
