Richard is a Human Performance Consultant with extensive experience delivering community-based, corporate, athletic, and military training in diverse settings on various topics related to health & wellness, resilience, stress management, and optimal human performance.
He has over 15 years of providing operational and strategic work experience in the application of performance psychology, positive psycholgy, and counseling psychology principles.
In addition, Richard is a skilled applied curriculum/course developer, with technical proficiency in psychological testing, bio and psycho-metric analysis, cognitive skills evaluation & assessment, and other developmental learning platforms (e.g. virtual reality and computer-based cognitive skills training). He holds two Masters of Arts degrees, one in Clinical Psychology specializing in sports and exercise science and another in Rehabilitation Counseling. He is certified by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology as a Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and served as a sport consultant practitioner for the annual joint Armed Forces DOD Warrior Games event. He also is a national classifier for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). His primary consulting work began with mixed martial arts and has since extended to other sports to include, youth/amateur (ODT soccer, AAU girls basketball, US paralympic women wheelchair basketball team), collegiate (baseball, softball, soccer, wheelchair basketball), semi pro/professional (football, adaptive sports), tactical operations (First-responders, Army Special forces soldiers, etc.), and professionals (corporate executives and managers).
