Since starting the MFLC position, I’ve felt more like I am able to manage “work-life balance.” It’s really difficult as a working military spouse and mother to find that, because unfortunately there are still many assumptions out there that military spouses don’t or can’t work full time, that they’re needed more at home so that their service member can focus on their mission. I have to say, I had considered that too … quitting to be home or doing something different. That was until I spoke with my now supervisor Sheila about MFLC opportunities to at would blend beautifully with the balance we were looking for as a family. Best. Decision. Ever!
