Why is the membership program changing?

After a thorough review, Magellan Federal has decided to change the Member Services program structure to better align our resources with future initiatives and military community needs. While previously valuable and unique, this fee-for-service model has become outdated. These services are now available for free or included by the Military Service Organization and the Veterans Service Organization.

When will the program officially change?

The program will change on July 1, 2026. All membership services will remain active until then.

Will I receive a refund?

If you have a current paid membership that extends beyond the change to no-fee membership date, you’ll receive a final one-time prorated refund by June 30, 2026.

What happens to my data and documents on file?

Your personal information will be securely archived or deleted according to our privacy policy. We will not share your data with any third parties.

All original documents on file will be returned to your current address on file by June 30, 2026.

All documents that are photocopied will be securely deleted or destroyed by July 31, 2026. Please contact Member Services at 1-888 237-2872, press option 2, or email thompsonrj@magellanfederal.com if you would like your photocopied documents to be returned to you via secured email or by mail to your current address.

How can I stay connected after the program changes?

You can continue to follow us and receive updates via this website.

Do I have to take any action to stop payment?

Members utilizing DFAS Government Allotment, EZ-Pay Bank Draft, or automatic bank checks for membership dues must coordinate directly with their financial institution to discontinue payments by May 1, 2026.

To stop DFAS allotments:

  • MyPay (Recommended): Log in to MyPay, select “Allotments” from the menu, and select the allotment to change or stop. You can also add new ones.
  • DD Form 2558: Complete the “Authorization to Start, Stop, or Change an Allotment” form. This is particularly useful for changes that cannot be made in MyPay.
Can I opt out of the free, no-cost membership?

Yes, please contact Member Services at 1-888 237-2872, press option 2, or email thompsonrj@magellanfederal.com before June 30, 2026, to cancel your membership or opt out of the no-cost membership that begins on July 1, 2026.
